The claim emerged in a new book, RFK Jr: The Fall and Rise, which is based on diaries allegedly written by RFK Jr and obtained by the author. “I was standing in front of my parked car on I-684 cutting the penis out of a road killed raccoon, thinking about how weird some of my family members have turned out to be,” Kennedy is claimed to have written in an entry from 2001. "My Kids waited patiently in the car." Kennedy has a history with roadkill.‌In one famous anecdote, he claims to have witnessed another car hitting a bear cub while travelling in New York State.‌"I pulled over and I picked up the bear and put him in the back of my van because I was going to skin the bear," he said in a video posted online."It was very good condition and I was going to put the meat in my refrigerator."‌He admitted to having left the bear in Central Park, and staging a situation to make it look like it had been hit by a cyclist."I've been picking up roadkill my whole life," RFK Jr told reporters in 2024.
