By ALYSSA GUZMAN, US NEWS REPORTER Published: 16:20, 6 May 2026 | Updated: 16:22, 6 May 2026 A Portland woman's wish had finally come true after her beloved orange cats made it home two years after mysteriously vanishing.  Zeus and Hercules, Ragdoll-Maine Coon mixes, disappeared from Dianna Rabetoy's yard in May 2024 when they were just under a year old.  The heartbroken mother posted fliers and asked for help on Nextdoor to find her precious pets, but nothing ever came up.  She had accepted that she would not see Zeus or Hercules again and believed someone must have taken them from her yard.  But that all changed on Friday when the cat mom received a call from a Los Angeles shelter, saying they found them and were able to identify them via their microchips.  'I was excited,' she told KOIN 6. 'I never thought I’d see them again. God is good.'  It's unknown how the pets ended up nearly 1,000 miles away from their home. With the help of a friend, Rabetoy was able to fly to California the next day to pick up the long-haired animals, who weigh 15 and 18 pounds.  Dianna Rabetoy's cats Zeus and Hercules went missing two years ago from her yard. She had accepted they would not come back to her after fliers and posts on Nextdoor didn't work  On Friday, a Los Angeles shelter called her to let her know her Ragdoll-Maine Coons have turned up there. The next day, she flew there and brought them home  She and the fluffy duo returned home the same day.  'I just can’t stop smiling that they’re home!' the doting cat mom told the outlet, adding that both boys are healthy and happy to be home. 'I wish I could ask them about their travels,' she added. 'That would be kind of fun.'  Rabetoy now encourages other pet owners to get their animals microchipped and to keep the information up to date in case a tragedy happens.  A Southern California woman, Michelle Bluestone, was recently reunited with her dog after five years.  Her dog Lola had slipped through a fence in 2021 at her parents' house and quickly disappeared.  In February 2026, she got a call from an animal shelter, saying they found Lola only 30 minutes from her parents' house.  The pair were quickly reunited, and Lola eventually settled back into life with Bluestone, her husband, and their dog Sunny.   No comments have so far been submitted.
