NFL weighing international expansion to double-digit games in 2027

The NFL, already with a record-setting nine international games on the schedule for the 2026 season, is looking to further grow its presence around the globe.At this week’s spring league meeting in Orlando, Fla., team owners will vote to increase the number of league-run international games to 10 in 2027, according to a source briefed on the process. (Technically, there could be 11 international games in 2027, with the Jacksonville Jaguars playing in London. But the Jaguars negotiate and operate their London games as the home team). In 2026, the NFL will play in Australia, Brazil, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Germany and Mexico.The NFL already has other countries — and continents — on its mind.
