Kendisini sakin biri olarak tanımlayan Kenan, "Arkadaşlarımın yanındayken gerçekten aktif ve neşeliyimdir. Hatta onlarla çok eğlendiğim için benim hiperaktif olduğumu söylerler. Futbola gelirsek, bu sporu seviyorum. Hayatımda ailem, dinim ve sonra futbol var diyebilirim. Yani spor ve futbol hayatımdaki en önemli üç şeyin içinde yer alıyor.” ifadelerini kullandı. Futbola Almanya'da evlerinin önünde oynayarak başladığını anlatan milli oyuncu, ailesinin kariyerindeki rolüne de dikkati çekerek "Çok küçükken evimizin kapısının önünde oynar, sadece eğlence olsun diye duvara şut çekerdim. Benden beş yaş büyük bir komşum vardı ve bir futbol kulübünde oynuyordu. Antrenörüne beni de bir kez yanında getirmek istediğini söylemiş, ben de öyle gittim. Kulübün adı SV Sallern ve antrenör Detlef Staude, ismini hala hatırlıyorum, çok iyi bir adamdı. Futbola böyle başladım. Ailemin bu süreçte desteği çok fazlaydı. Benim için her şeylerini verdiler, onlar olmasaydı burada olamazdım. Okulda beni desteklediler, babam her gün benimle antrenman yaptı. Antrenmana gitmek, beni her yere, her turnuvaya götürmek için her gün o yolu katettiler. Bu yüzden her şey için onlara teşekkür etmeliyim." ifadelerini kullandı. Kenan Yıldız, A Milli Futbol Takımı'nda forma giymenin kendisi için çok şey ifade ettiğini belirtti. Milli takım tercihine ilişkin açıklamalarda bulunan 21 yaşındaki futbolcu, "Henüz söylemedim ama geçmişte 'Almanya beni istemedi.' gibi bir durum vardı. Kenan, 2024 Avrupa Futbol Şampiyonası'nda en çok aklında kalan maç sorusuna, "Tabii ki Avusturya maçı, çünkü inanılmaz bir maçtı. Orada yaptıklarımız, hislerimiz ve çalıştığımız her şey harikaydı. Maçın gidişatı gerçekten inanılmazdı ve bunu asla unutmayacağım. 2024 yılında oynanan özel maçta onlara karşı ağır bir yenilgi almıştık. Futbol her zaman böyledir, rövanşlar olur. Ama bunu pek düşünmedik çünkü o bir özel maçtı, çok şey denemiştik, dersler çıkardık ve dürüst olmak gerekirse güzel bir intikam aldık." yanıtını verdi. Bayern Münih altyapısında forma giydikten sonra Juventus'a transfer olan Kenan Yıldız, İtalyan ekibine geçiş sürecini de anlattı. Bayern Münih ile bitmek üzere olan sözleşmesini uzatmak için görüşmeler yaptıklarını aktaran genç futbolcu, şöyle devam etti: "Bana iyi bir seçenek sunmadılar ve bana inandıklarını hissetmedim. Ben de diğer kulüplerle görüştüm. Juventus bana en iyi sportif seçeneği sundu ki benim için en önemli şey doğru yolu çizmekti. Juventus'ta olduğumdan beri kendimi gerçekten evimde ve güvende hissediyorum. Çevremdeki herkes çok iyi insanlar. Kulüp de sözünde durdu ve şimdiye kadar bana her şeyi sağladı, bu yüzden orada olduğum ve bu yolda ilerlediğim için çok mutluyum. Şu anda sözleşmemi 2030 yılına kadar uzattım.
