أعلنت وزارة الخارجية الإماراتية عن استضافة عملية الإفراج عن مواطن أمريكي كان مسجونًا في أفغانستان، وتسليمه إلى الولايات المتحدة، بحضور ممثلين عن الجهات المعنية في البلدين.

وأعربت الوزارة عن شكرها للولايات المتحدة وأفغانستان على ثقتهما بدولة الإمارات واختيارها موقعًا لعملية الإفراج، في خطوة تجسّد دورها وسيطًا موثوقًا في دعم الحلول الدبلوماسية والإنسانية.

وأشارت الإمارات إلى أن هذه الجهود تعكس نهج الدولة في تعزيز الحوار والتعاون الدولي، وتوفير بيئة داعمة للمحادثات البنّاءة، معربةً عن تطلعها إلى أن تسهم هذه المساعي في تحقيق الأمن والاستقرار والازدهار إقليميًا ودوليًا.
