The Central Board of Secondary Education on Tuesday announced the Class 12 board examination results for 2026, with the overall pass percentage slipping to 85.20 per cent from last year’s 88.39 per cent.According to the board, 1,780,365 students had registered for the examinations this year, of whom 1,768,968 appeared. CBSE class 12 pass percentage stands at 85.20%; girls outperform boys
CBSE declared the Class XII board examination results for the 2025-26 academic session with an overall pass percentage of 85.20%. Out of 17.69 lakh students who appeared, 15.07 lakh cleared the examination. Girls recorded a higher pass percentage than boys, while transgender candidates achieved a 100% pass rate. More than 94,000 students scored above 90%. CBSE also introduced On Screen Marking for digital evaluation and announced supplementary examinations from July 15, 2026.
