Orta Doğu kaynaklı jeopolitik gerilimlerin yarattığı baskıya rağmen, yılbaşında yakaladığı pozitif ivmeyi ilk çeyrekte korumayı başardı. Borsa İstanbul'da en büyük ve likiditesi yüksek şirketleri barındıran BIST 30 endeksi, 2025 yılını 12.223,61 puandan kapatmasının ardından, bu yılın ilk çeyreğinde 14.518,03 puana yükselerek yatırımcısına yüzde 18,77 kazanç sağladı ve en fazla yükselen borsalar arasında ilk 10'da yer aldı. BIST 30 endeksi söz konusu dönemde dolar bazında da yüzde 14,7 artışla dünyada en çok yükselen borsa endeksleri arasına girdi. Böylece ilk çeyrekte ortaya koyduğu performansla birçok önemli endeksin aksine yatırımcısının yüzünü güldürdü. Bu dönemde ABD'de New York borsasındaki ana endeksler başta olmak üzere Asya ve Avrupa'da işlem gören endekslerin çoğu geriledi. Geçen yılı 11.261,52 puandan kapatan BIST 100 endeksi de ilk çeyreği 12.790,98 puandan tamamlayarak bu süreçte yüzde 13,6'lık yükseliş kaydetti. Endeks, ocakta yüzde 22,9 yükselerek Kasım 2022'den bu yana en iyi aylık performansını sergiledi. BIST 100 endeksi, şubatta yabancı yatırımcıların girişinin sürmesi ve Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankasının (TCMB) rezervlerini artırmaya devam etmesiyle 14.532,67 puana çıkarak tarihi zirveye ulaştı. Dezenflasyon sürecinin güçlü şekilde devam edileceğine yönelik yönlendirmeler de endekste alıcı seyri destekledi. ABD ve İsrail'in İran'a yönelik saldırılarıyla başlayan ve İran'ın misillemeleriyle tırmanan Orta Doğu’daki gerilim, mart ayında küresel piyasalarda sert satış baskısı oluşturdu. Bölgede süregelen jeopolitik risklerle, küresel piyasaların toplam değeri son bir ayda yaklaşık 14 trilyon dolar azaldı. İran'ın dünyanın enerji ihtiyacının büyük bölümünün geçtiği önemli jeopolitik düğüm noktası Hürmüz Boğazı'nı gölgelemesi petrol fiyatlarında yukarı yönlü hareketleri tetikleyerek, küresel çapta enflasyon görünümünde ve merkez bankalarının politikaları üzerinde belirgin değişimlerin yaşanmasına neden oldu. Başta ABD Merkez Bankası (Fed) olmak üzere küresel merkez bankalarının olası "şahin" adımlarına ilişkin endişeler varlık fiyatlarını üzerinde baskı oluşturdu. Dolar diğer para birimlerine karşı güçlenirken, tahvil piyasalarında da satış baskısı oluştu. ABD'nin 10 yıllık tahvil faizi yüzde 4,48702'ye çıkarak Temmuz 2025'ten bu yana en yüksek seviyesini gördü. Dolar, bölgedeki jeopolitik gerilimlerin petrol fiyatları üzerinde oluşturduğu yukarı yönlü baskının enflasyon görünümüne etkisiyle diğer para birimleri karşısında değer kazanırken, dolar endeksi de 100 seviyesindeki güçlü seyrini sürdürüyor. Yurt içinde ekonomi yönetiminin hızlı pozisyonlanma ve etkili önlem geliştirme kapasitesi, küresel dalgalanmalara karşı görece daha dirençli bir görünüm oluşmasına katkı sağladı. Küresel risklerin artmasıyla güçlenen dolar endeksi, diğer varlıkların seyrini etkiledi. Bu süreçte Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankası (TCMB), finansal piyasalarda yaşanan gelişmeleri göz önünde bulundurarak önlemler alıyor. TCMB, bankalara Türk lirası likidite yönetiminde esneklik sağlamak amacıyla Döviz Karşılığı Türk Lirası Swap işlemlerine başladı. TCMB, bu adımıyla hem kredi hem faiz tarafında oynaklığı önlemeyi amaçlıyor ve Türk lirası üzerindeki baskının da hafiflemesi hedefleniyor. Bu önlemle birlikte hem piyasalardaki Türk lirası sıkışıklığı önlenecek hem de bankaların likidite sıkıntısı yaşamasının önüne geçilecek. Böylece kredi koşulları da daha makul hale gelecek. Söz konusu adım hem bankacılık sistemindeki Türk lirası likiditesinin desteklenmesi hem de döviz rezervlerinin güçlendirilmesi açısından önemli bir gelişme olarak değerlendirilirken, TCMB, bu hamleyle bankalardan döviz alınıp karşılığında TL verilmesi yoluyla piyasadaki likiditeyi artırmayı hedefliyor. Öte yandan, TCMB verilerine göre, yurt dışında yerleşik kişiler, 27 Mart haftasında 137,1 milyon dolarlık hisse senedi alırken 1 milyar 369,9 milyon dolarlık Devlet İç Borçlanma Senedi (DİBS), 78,1 milyon dolarlık Genel Yönetim Dışındaki Sektör İhraçları (ÖST) sattı.
