White House shooting: Wine thief identified? X user accuses Ukrainian ambassador to US
ALBAWABA - Chaos recently erupted at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner when shots were fired during the event. However, one video stood out the most on social media, capturing a guest stealing a wine bottle from their table before evacuating.
The shooting caused the immediate evacuation of US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
The suspected shooter was identified as Cole Tomas Allen, who was armed with a shotgun, a handgun, and multiple knives, police said. According to several reports, Allen was also identified as a 31-year-old from Torrance, California.
A viral video captured a woman in a black fur jacket snatching a wine bottle off the table and placing it inside her jacket. In response, several internet users on X (formerly Twitter) launched an investigation to identify the woman's identity.

An X user called "Aleksey The Great" claimed that the woman in question was reportedly Ukraine's Ambassador to the US, Olga Stefanishyna. However, several other users slammed those claims, adding that Stefanishyna was wearing a grey pantsuit during the White House event.
One user responded, "Olga was wearing a grey pantsuit, whereas the person stealing champagne was wearing a black skirt slit up to her thigh. You're pathetic."
Another wrote, "She was dressed differently and has a different hair style. You are just simply lying."
147 wine bottles reportedly left the building during the shooting
Peter Girnus, a senior coordinating producer for the White House Correspondents' Dinner, took to X, revealing that he was responsible for ordering wine for 94 tables.
He added, "The budget was $14,200. I signed the invoice. I can tell you the vintage. I can tell you the distributor. I can tell you the per-bottle cost because I negotiated it down from $89 to $76. What I cannot tell you is how 147 of those bottles left the building during an active shooter evacuation."
