White House in lockdown after ‘20 to 30 shots fired’ near Donald Trump's official residence

The White House has been forced into lockdown following reports of dozens of gunshots near Donald Trump's official residence.

US Secret Service officials said they were aware of an incident taking place at 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW and was working alongside personnel on the ground.

Two people are said to have been shot by Secret Service agents on the scene, CNN has reported.
