It looks set to be a warm and clear start to the event, with no rainfall currently forecast for when the track action gets underway on Friday. Those conditions appear likely to remain for the rest of the weekend and temperatures could continue to rise, the maximum predicted to be in the range of 31.5 degrees Celsius on race day. FRIDAY, JUNE 26 – FP1 AND FP2 Conditions: Expect clear skies with temperatures ranging from 14°C to 31°C, which is trending a couple degrees warmer than previous forecasts. Wind speeds will remain light, averaging around 5 km/h with gusts up to 22 km/h. There is no chance of precipitation, and track temperatures could reach 51°C, ensuring warm track conditions. Maximum temperature expected: 31 Celsius Minimum temperature expected: 14.5 Celsius Chance of rain: 0% SATURDAY, JUNE 27 – FP3 AND QUALIFYING Conditions: Expect favourable, albeit hot, weather conditions. The temperatures will range from 15°C in the morning to a high of 32°C during the day, with no precipitation expected. Given the drier afternoon humidities, heat indices may only reach 29-30°C. Winds will remain light to moderate, with speeds averaging 9 km/h and gusts up to 25.2 km/h. Given the drier air mass, afternoon humidities may only reach 30-35%, ensuring heat indices around 30-31°C. Air temperatures could trend warmer by a couple degrees. As of now there is no chance of rain, and winds will remain light, averaging 6 km/h with occasional gusts up to 27 km/h. Track temperatures might reach around 53°C.
