Watch the moment BMW driver crashes into hedge while 'trying to show off'
A BMW driver has crashed into a hedge in an attempt to "show off", resulting in a two-year ban from driving.
Bradley Parsons, 30. has been sentenced to two counts of dangerous driving after he attempted to drift his BMW M3 Competition M xDrive - which can go from zero to 62mph in 3.5seconds - while on his way to a countryside meetup.
And the previous day, Parsons, from Melksham, Wiltshire, had drifted his £93,000 BMW outside an unauthorised car meet in Berkshire, with crowds standing dangerously close to the vehicle.
Sgt James Hall, of the Hampshire Constabulary, said: "On both occasions his driving was deliberate, reckless, and intended to show off to spectators.
"The video of him crashing clearly shows that he lost control of the car, which is easily done when attempting to drive in such a dangerous manner. This was a busy junction with pedestrians and other motorists and quite frankly, he is lucky that nobody - including himself - was seriously injured or worse."
