Fatih Sultan Mehmet Kültür ve Spor Merkezi'nde gerçekleştirilen programda konuşan İstanbul Milli Eğitim Müdürü Doç. Dr. Murat Mücahit Yentür, Edebiyat Bülteni etkinliğine birçok kez katıldığını ve 1990'lı yıllarda da şiir programının organizasyon heyetinde yer aldığını söyledi. Yentür, o yıllarda MGV Edebiyat Bülteni'nin "Şiir Gecesi" ve MGV Hukuk Bülteni'nin "Hz. Ömer ve Adalet Gecesi" programlarının düzenlendiğini belirterek, "Adalet Gecesi'nde şimdiki vekilimiz Osman Mesten abi vardı. Şiir Gecesi 1992'de başladı ve 2012'de ara verildi. Çok şükür 2025'te tekrar başlattığımız ve bugün 22. kez düzenlediğimiz bu etkinlik, inşallah bir örneklik teşkil eder. 'Hz. Ömer ve Adalet Gecesi'nin de tekrar organize edilmesini temenni ediyoruz." dedi. Hayatın mısralarla daha anlamlı hale geldiğini dile getiren Yentür, "Bazen hayatı anlamlı bir dizede, bir mısrada bulmak mümkün. Sezai Karakoç, 'Şairler, toplumun kalbidir.' der. Biz de diyoruz, 'Şairler toplumun kalbiyse, şiir de onun ritmidir.' Bu ritmi güçlü tutmak adına biz de bu gayretin içindeyiz." diye konuştu. Etkinliğin Tertip Komitesi Başkanı ve İstanbul İl Milli Eğitim Müdür Yardımcısı Mehmet Nezir Eryarsoy ise programda "Dört Öncü Dört Şiir" başlığıyla Türk şiirinin usta isimlerinden Sezai Karakoç, Yavuz Bülent Bakiler, Hüsrev Hatemi ve Murat Kapkıner'in şiirlerine yer verdiklerini aktardı. Eryarsoy, şiirlerin okunmaktan öte hissedileceğine işaret ederek, "Şiir Geceleri geleneği hatta şiirin sesli hali zamanla sanki biraz geri çekiliyor. Elbette şiirle baş başa kalmak her zaman için çok kıymetli. Ama şiirin etrafında bir araya gelmek, onu birlikte paylaşmak da çok önemli. Bu yüzden bu akşamın ayrı bir anlamı var." ifadelerini kullandı. Programın birinci bölümünde şairler Güven Adıgüzel, Şeref Akbaba, Ayla Aydemir, Eyyüp Azlal, Nurettin Nurman, Tuba Kaplan, Abdullah Yalın Karadağ, ikinci bölümünde ise Ayşe Nur Menekşe, AK Parti Bursa Milletvekili Osman Mesten, Tuba Reyyan Okyay, Bülent Sağlam, Adem Turan ve Harun Yakarer şiirlerini seslendirdi. Selahaddin Kocaaslan'ın sunduğu programda ayrıca "Dört Öncü Dört Şiir" bölümünde Mehmet Konuk, Sezai Karakoç ve Hüsrev Hatemi'nin şiirleri yorumlandı. Yavuz Bülent Bakiler'in ve Murat Kapkıner'in şiirleri de kendi sesleriyle dinleyiciyle buluşturuldu. Ayrıca Emrecan Kuranel, bestelenmiş şiirleri katılımcıların beğenisine sundu. Program sonunda şairlere plaket takdim edildi. "Şiir, Yalnızca Şiir!" sloganıyla ilk kez 1992 yılında üniversite öğrencileri tarafından başlatılan şiir gecesi, MGV Edebiyat Bülteni çatısı altında gelenekselleştirilmişti.
