US to step up strikes against Iran in next two to three weeks — Trump

WASHINGTON, April 2. /TASS/. The US will intensify strikes against Iran in the next two to three weeks, President Donald Trump stated. "I can say tonight that we are on track to complete all of America's military objectives very shortly. We’re going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks. We’re going to bring them back to the Stone Age, where they belong," the US leader said during a televised address to the nation. The United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran on February 28. Major Iranian cities, including Tehran, were struck. The White House justified the attack by citing alleged missile and nuclear threats from Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a retaliatory operation, targeting sites in Israel. US military bases in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE were also hit. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and some other key Iranian leaders were killed in the joint US-Israeli attack.
