US military aircraft struck by Iran makes it to Kuwait — TV

NEW YORK, April 4. /TASS/. An A-10 Thunderbolt struck down by Iranian air defenses has made it to Kuwait, NBC News reported. According to the TV channel, the US military aircraft was mobilized to support a search and rescue mission after Iranian air defenses intercepted an F-15E fighter jet. The A-10 which was struck by Iranian fire "made it to the Kuwaiti airspace, where the pilot ejected and the aircraft crashed." The pilot is safe. Iran also fired at two US UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters conducting a search and rescue operation, but service members on board sustained only minor injuries.
