Two in custody after the death of a young man found unconscious at a bus stop in Australind, WA

The critically injured man, aged in his 20s, was found near Treendale Shopping Centre on The Boulevard at Australind, near Bunbury, about 1.20am on Sunday. He was rushed to Bunbury Hospital but could not be revived. Two men aged in their 30s have since been arrested and are being interviewed by police. No charges have yet been laid. Detectives remained at the scene on Sunday, as a homicide investigation was launched. Two bus stops and a large part of the shopping centre car park were cordoned off as forensic officers examined the crime scene. Western Australian Premier Roger Cook extended his condolences to the man's family and friends. 'It would appear to be a very violent incident, and I'm very pleased that the police were able to get on top of that situation and take two people into custody as quickly as they have,' he said.
