Beyaz Saray tarafından paylaşılan bilgilere göre, ABD'nin Montana eyaletinin Phillips County bölgesinde yer alan sınır hattında petrol ve petrol ürünlerinin taşınmasına yönelik boru hattının inşası, bağlantısı ve işletilmesine izin verildi. Söz konusu izin, Bridger Pipeline Expansion LLC şirketi tarafından yürütülecek projeyi kapsarken, boru hattı ABD-Kanada sınırında ham petrol ile nafta, sıvılaştırılmış petrol gazı, doğal gaz sıvıları, jet yakıtı, benzin, kerosen ve dizel gibi petrol ürünlerinin taşınmasına imkan sağlayacak. ABD yönetimi, ulusal güvenlik gerekçesiyle gerektiğinde boru hattının kontrolünü geçici olarak devralabilecek. ABD basınında yer alan haberlere göre, boru hattı günde 550 bin varile kadar petrol taşıma kapasitesine sahip bulunuyor. Projenin eyalet ve federal çevresel onayları alması gerekirken, çevreci gruplar petrol sızıntısı riski nedeniyle projeye karşı çıkıyor. Boru hattının tam kapasiteyle çalıştığında, eski ABD Başkanı Joe Biden döneminde iptal edilen Keystone XL projesinin taşıma kapasitesinin yaklaşık üçte ikisi kadar petrol taşıyacağı belirtiliyor.
