Trump, Oval Ofis'te ABD'li, İsrailli ve Lübnanlı temsilcilerin hazır bulunduğu toplantıya işaret ederek "Toplantı çok iyi geçti. ABD, Lübnan'ın kendisini Hizbullah'tan korumasına yardımcı olmak için Lübnan ile işbirliği yapacak. İsrail ile Lübnan arasındaki ateşkes 3 hafta uzatılacak." ifadelerini kullandı. ABD Başkanı ayrıca, yakın gelecekte İsrail Başbakanı Binyamin Netanyahu ve Lübnan Cumhurbaşkanı Joseph Avn'ı Beyaz Saray'da ağırlamayı sabırsızlıkla beklediğini ifade etti. Trump, 3 haftalık ilave ateşkes süreci içinde Avn ile Netanyahu'yu Beyaz Saray'da ağırlamayı istediğini ve bu görüşmenin "tarihi" bir öneme sahip olacağını vurguladı. İsrail'in Hizbullah'tan gelecek olası saldırılara karşı kendini her zaman savunma hakkı olduğunu anlatan Trump, "İsrail, üzerine ateş açılırsa kendini savunmak zorunda kalacak ve bunu da yapacaktır.
