The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) is welcoming travellers arriving at Dubai airports with a special special edition stamp featuring the “Dubai World Cup 2026” logo, celebrating the 30th edition, also known as the Pearl Jubilee, of this prestigious global event.

The iconic race will take place on March 28 at Meydan Racecourse in Dubai and is recognised as one of the world’s most renowned and valuable horse racing competitions, drawing enthusiasts from across the globe.

When Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the Dubai World Cup (DWC) in 1993, his goal was simple: to bring the world’s finest horses to the emirate. Nearly three decades later, that vision has evolved into something far greater.

What started as a daring experiment in international horse racing has now become the UAE’s most anticipated social spectacle — a dazzling fusion of elite sport, high fashion, tourism, and global networking.

The landmark 30th running of the $30.5 million Dubai World Cup will be broadcast live by a record 40 broadcasters, reaching audiences in more than 150 countries.

The Dubai World Cup draws elite horses from around the globe, including the French-trained Calandagan, who capped last year with a victory at the Japan Cup, solidifying his reputation at the top of the racing world.

Off the track, the DWC celebrates style and glamour. The World Cup Style Stakes has become a highlight of the event, where fashion lovers showcase their finest looks and compete for coveted honours such as Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Man, Best Hat, and Best Dressed Couple.
