Returning for its third year, Trans+ History Week (THW) will run from 4th to the 10th May, with Trans+ History Day landing on 6th May. The day commemorates the 1933 Nazi raid on Berlin’s Institute for Sexual Science — the world ’s first Trans+ clinic. THW 2026 arrives at a pivotal moment, following the For Women Scotland Supreme Court ruling , and upcoming parliamentary scrutiny of the EHRC’s Code of Practice. As the community navigates a challenging legal and political climate, Trans+ people and their allies are increasingly mobilising for fundamental rights. To meet this moment, THW 2026 has launched Reflections, a national campaign - running 30th April to the 10th May - that brings Trans+ stories to the forefront across the UK, alongside new historical reporting with QueerAF, a platform that funds queer creatives, and a dedicated events programme in London. Whether you are looking to learn, advocate, or build community, there are several ways to engage with Trans+ History Week this year: Across the week itself (4–10 May), Trans+ communities and allies will come together at events, including two flagship events in London hosted. A bold new nationwide awareness campaign, Reflections, has taken over Outernet London and beyond, running throughout the week. Produced by Trans+ History Week, QueerAF, and creative agency Uncharted Studio, and drawing on research from The Diversity Standards Collective with Trans+ people across the UK, the campaign gives a platform to Trans+ voices at a time of mounting concern. Reflections launches from 30 April to 10 May nationwide across out-of-home locations – including Liverpool Central Station, Manchester's Hotel Football , Brighton's Churchill Square, Newcastle Haymarket, London's Boxpark Wembley, and Edinburgh Towers – alongside UK-wide publications. At the heart of the campaign sits an immersive installation at Outernet London, where striking headlines rest beneath a tranquil water surface, each unveiled by a descending droplet that creates a ripple throughout the space. An original three-minute ambient soundscape by TRANS VOICES transforms one of Britain's most-viewed public screens into a space for contemplation and reflection. On Trans+ History Day, a community evening with Headline Sponsor Deloitte UK will feature a live recording of the QueerAF podcast. Hosted by Lars Fellows (he/him), known from BBC ’s I Kissed a Boy, the recording will bring together Big Brother stars Nadia Almada (she/her) and Zelah Glasson (he/him) for a conversation about representation on reality TV. The evening will also include a panel discussion on the power of storytelling hosted by Ki Griffin (he/they), featuring Rebecca Jane Morgan (she/her), HRH Aphrodite I (she/her), and Alexandra Parmar-Yee (she/her). Tickets are available now via Outsavvy . On Friday, a comedy night and fundraiser with Partner Diageo will feature an all-Trans+ line-up, including host Don One (they/them), headliner Alex Franklin (she/her), and comedians Christopher Lieberman (he/him), Alex Gibbon (they/he), and Ki Griffin (he/they), with a DJ set from DARKWAH (they/them). Tickets are available now via Outsavvy . Free toolkits known as the Trans+ History Week workbook are available to download. The 2026 edition, launched in January, features documented stories spanning the UK, US, Uganda and Japan, built around four lessons including “We’ve always been here” and “We can’t be erased”.
