The moment axe-wielding men target woman's home caught on camera

Published: 02:11, 31 July 2026 | Updated: 02:11, 31 July 2026 A woman in regional New South Wales was horrified when a group of men turned up on her doorstep and repeatedly swung an axe at her home. Disturbing CCTV footage shared on social media shows three men attempting to break into a home in Albury, near the Victorian border, on July 27 at 6.50pm.  As the group approach, one of them kicks the door at least three times.  A second man, dressed in a high-vis jacket, is then seen repeatedly striking the front of the house with an axe.  A third member of the group then strides forward, pulls back the flyscreen and aggressively kicks the front door.  None of the men managed to enter the home and eventually walked away from the property.  A resident told 7NEWS the video was 'ugly and frightening'. They said many people in the community feel on edge following the incident. Police encourage all reports of crime or incidents of concern to the community to be reported to police, or via Triple Zero if urgent. 'Matters reported will be subject to investigation,' police said. 'Reporting incidents also assists police in patrols that are intelligence based around locations and times of incidents.'
