Charly Triballeau / Getty Images Share articleNEW YORK — Federal prosecutors intend to bring new charges against Terry Rozier related to its sports gambling case involving the NBA player and others. A lawyer for the US Attorneys Office for the Eastern District of New York said Monday that it ends to file a superceding indictment against Rozier alleging that he “solicited and accepted a bribe.” The revelation came during a hearing Monday in front of a federal judge on Rozier’s case after his lawyer had asked the judge to dismiss the case. During the hearing, Rozier’s lawyer, Jim Trusty, said that the government had told him two hours prior they intended to bring new charges. Prosecutors will present the charges to a grand jury. The prosecutors say Rozier accepted a bribe and that they will allege that he committed sports bribery and honest services fraud. A prosecutor claimed that Rozier had deprived “the NBA and the Charlotte Hornets of Mr. Rozier’s honest services.” Spot the pattern. Connect the terms Find the hidden link between sports terms
