A third passenger, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment. He is currently in a stable condition.Article continues belowOfficers discovered a Volkswagen Polo had been travelling northbound on the road when it came off the carriageway and slammed into a tree.Appealing for witnesses, Sgt Craig Bartle said: "Any information you are able to provide could prove crucial to our enquiries."
