A witness who heard the teenager's screams noted the van's registration number and alerted authorities, enabling police to issue an alert for the specific vehicle.
Officers discovered the girl still inside the vehicle when they arrived at the hotel premises, arresting the suspect at the scene.
Greater Manchester Police stated: "There is no wider risk to the public.
"Further updates will be provided when appropriate."
Investigators are treating the incident as a random attack, with the teenager having no prior connection to the suspect.
