Armstrong, 66, was about to get married when two police officers burst in and apprehended him.Police allege that Armstrong, who was convicted of child molestation in 2002, failed to disclose on his marriage license application his status as a sexual violent predator. Providing false information on a marriage application is considered a level 6 felony in the state of Indiana, where the man was trying to get married.Concerns grew following Armstrong's arrest, with a court filing a motion to prevent him from marrying the 22-year-old bride who has multiple disabilities. Heather Stevens, a country clerk, took action when she learned the bride, who is declared legally incompetent, was pregnant."It is in the hands of the court," Stevens told WSBT 22. "I'm confident they are going to do the right thing." The unnamed bride has complex medical issues, which includes autism, fetal alcohol syndrome, ADHD, functional movement disorder, delayed speech and depression.Stevens said she doesn't normally get involved in any cases but did so this time out of concern for the unnamed woman.
