Senators' Ridly Greig suspended 2 games for playoff sucker punches vs. Canes

OTTAWA — Ottawa Senators forward Ridly Greig has been suspended two games for sucker-punching Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Sean Walker in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series.The suspension, officially handed out for roughing, will carry over into the 2026-27 NHL regular season, as Carolina eliminated Ottawa in a four-game sweep last month. Greig’s hearing with the NHL’s Department of Player Safety was held on Monday, after which the league released a video explaining the decision.Advertisement
