Published: 05:07, 29 April 2026 | Updated: 05:26, 29 April 2026 A Saturday Night Live writer remains desperate for answers six months after his sister mysteriously disappeared. Jimmy Fowlie, 40 -  who joined SNL's writing staff in 2022 and co-wrote the viral 'Domingo' sketch - has said he last saw his sister, Christina Lynn Downer, 38, at the end of November. He has since shared a photo of his sister as a young girl to his Instagram page, saying he is 'thinking about her every day.' 'For the people who have asked, there's no updates I can share,' Fowlie wrote on April 24. 'Thank you for checking in and for your prayers.' Downer, who may also be using her maiden name, Fowlie, was last seen in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles, according to the LA Police Department. The LAPD shared an official missing persons bulletin on December 22, including two photos of Downer, whom the police department described as being five-foot-one-inch with brown hair and brown eyes.  Fowlie shared the poster to social media at the time, writing: 'My sister has been missing and we are worried that she isn’t safe.' In the caption of the post, he appealed for anyone with information to contact authorities, writing: 'Please share this so that if anyone has seen her, they can give any information to the police. The phone number is 213 996 1800 and her case number is 25237639. she was last seen in LA. thank you.' Jimmy Fowlie, a writer for Saturday Night Live, wrote on Instagram on April 24 that he has no new updates on his missing sister, Christina Lynn Downer Fowlie, 40 - who joined SNL's writing staff in 2022 and co-wrote the viral 'Domingo' sketch - has said he last saw Downer, 38, at the end of November The Los Angeles Police Department shared an official missing persons bulletin on December 22, including two photos of Downer, whom the police department described as being five-foot-one-inch with brown hair and brown eyes  Fowlie also noted that Downer is rarely seen without her dog, a miniature pinscher named Rex. 'If you see her, chances are he'd be with her,' the comedy writer posted at the time.  Police echoed the family’s concerns in the missing persons report, stating, 'Christina's family and friends are concerned for her safety.' Curiously, weeks after Downer was reported missing, her Instagram account had a new post. 'Living life in peace,' Downer posted on December 14. 'If you wanna send me a Christmas treat, I'll be waiting. Happy holidays everyone.' But the same photo was posted to Downer's Instagram story in June and saved as a highlight on her profile, The US Sun reports.  Weeks after Downer was reported missing, her Instagram account had a new post, resharing this photo The Daily Mail has reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department for comment. Fowlie’s work extends beyond Saturday Night Live, with credits including Netflix’s A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter.  He has also starred in and written projects such as the comedy web series Go-Go Boy Interrupted and HBO Max’s The Other Two.
