Mayıs 2026Fotoğraf: Veysel Altun / AASamsunTürkiye Bisiklet Federasyonu ile Samsun Valiliğince düzenlenen ve İstiklal Meydanı'nda başlayan yarışa 415 bisikletli katıldı. Samsun Valisi Orhan Tavlı'nın başlattığı yarışta sporcular, 19 Mayıs ilçesi Kızılırmak Deltası Kuş Cenneti ile Bafra etaplarında 50 ve 100 kilometrelik parkurlarda mücadele etti. Gran Fondo Bisiklet Yarışı'nda 302 kişi kısa, 113 kişi de uzun parkurda pedal çevirdi. Irak, İran, Rusya, Almanya ve KKTC'den 15 sporcu da organizasyonda yer aldı. Türkiye Bisiklet Federasyonu Başkanı Emin Müftüoğlu, gazetecilere, bu tür organizasyonların her yıl yapıldığında daha değerli olduğunu dile getirdi. Kentte Gran Fondo Bisiklet Yarışı'nın üçüncüsünün düzenlendiğini dile getiren Müftüoğlu, "Samsun'un güzelliklerini anlattıkça ben inanıyorum ki burada yakın tarihte bin, bin beş yüz kişiyle organizasyon yapacağız. Grand fondolar halka iniyor. Herkesin koşabildiği ve amatörlerin gelip yarışabilecekleri bir organizasyon." dedi. Türkiye'de her yıl 10 gran fondo yarışı düzenlediklerini anlatan Müftüoğlu, "Birini de Samsun'da yapıyoruz. Çok güzel bir atmosfer. Samsun tarihimiz için de ülkemiz için de çok kıymetli bir yer, ondan dolayı da Samsun'u bütün dünyaya tanıtmak istiyoruz." ifadelerini kullandı.
