Ryanair Ibiza flight descends into chaos as dancing passengers ignore furious cabin crew

Rowdy passengers on a Ryanair 'flight from hell' have been slammed after they began blaring out loud music - and refused to sit down when asked by cabin crew. Brandon Stephenson said he "didn't listen and just kept partying" after attempting to get other passengers into the party mood on the Newcastle to Ibiza flight on April 26. While the plane was cruising at 30,000ft, the 28-year-old began blasting music from a speaker onboard and dancing in the aisles - much to the annoyance of one crew member. But he has branded his critics as "morbid" after video of the incident circulated online. Brandon, from Hartlepool, said: "Everyone on the plane was happy other than one member of the cabin crew who kept shouting at us. But we didn't listen and just kept partying. "Normally I am a nervous flyer so this eased my anxiety a lot. The atmosphere was very good, there were even young kids there dancing and singing along with us." In the clip, passengers can be seen standing in the aisles dancing, laughing and drinking while cabin crew attempted to make their way through the plane. Brandon appeared to lead the commotion after being the first to get up and dance, before other passengers joined in. But not everyone online was impressed, and the 28-year-old claimed he has received "death threats" and abuse since posting the footage on social media. Brandon said: "However, all the backlash I have received on my instagram and social media is absolutely hilarious. Never knew people were so morbid. "I've received death threats, abuse and honestly I think it's absolutely amazing. So keep it coming." Viewers were sharply divided over the scenes. One person said: "Worst flight ever." While another added: "So inconsiderate. Feel for the other passengers." Someone else wrote: "My kind of flight this, people on their way to their holiday, enjoying themselves and having a laugh." And another person said: "To be fair this would calm my flight anxiety." The Mirror has contacted Ryanair for comment. Under UK aviation rules on "unruly conduct", airlines have broad legal authority to take action against disruptive passengers, ranging from immediate in-flight intervention to permanent bans and legal prosecution. Disruptive passengers can lead to planes being diverted, who may themselves be forced to pay the cost of the diversion, according to the Civil Aviation Authority.
