Robbie Keane linked with move back to UK following Irishman's managerial success abroad

Robbie Keane has been linked with a move to Celtic following his managerial success abroad with Hungarian side Ferencvaros.

The Irishman has enjoyed success in his second managerial job, including winning the Hungarian cup last month.

There were rumours of the former striker returning to his old club, Tottenham Hotspur, when they were in pursuit of a new boss following the sacking of Igor Tudor.

Spurs went with Roberto De Zerbi, with Keane still being tipped for a new job after leaving the Hungarian side following 18 months in charge.

Irish billionaire Dermot Desmond is set to meet with Keane and Martin O'Neill in London over the next few days.

The Parkhead majority shareholder has no other names under consideration for the role, according to reports.
