Reform UK will jail bosses who employ illegal migrant workers if it wins the next General Election.

In an assault on "soft-touch Britain", the party is pledging to bring in what it calls "the harshest penalties in the world" for anyone who employs illegal migrants.

Firms would face fines worth 10 per cent of their global revenues under the proposals.

While CEOs and directors would face prison sentences under Nigel Farage's future Government.

The policy has been dubbed "The Deliveroo Law", a reference to how illegal migrants have been using delivery apps to earn money in the UK.

Reform's home affairs spokesman Zia Yusuf is expected to formally unveil the plans soon.

He said: "The Tories and Labour have made Britain the softest-touch country in the world for illegal migrants to undercut British workers.

"There are companies whose entire business model is based on profiteering from illegal working.

"It is a slap in the face to the public. It makes a mockery of our immigration laws, takes jobs from British workers and is funding the people smugglers in the Channel."

As Home Secretary, Mr Yusuf would make CEOs and directors personally and criminally liable for illegal working, even if they did not know their workers had no right to work in the UK.

The party compared this to existing personal liability rules for senior managers over financial misconduct.

Revenue from fines generated by the "Deliveroo Law" would go towards the victims of migrant crime, and restoring Britain's high streets.

Mr Yusuf will also reveal a "Turkish Barbers tip line" so the public can report suspected illegal working or organised crime on their front doors.

Police forces would be encouraged to act on these reports by receiving a portion of any fines collected.

It has long been known that Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat accounts are sold to illegal migrants via social media groups.

Some migrants pay as little as £40 per week to use other riders' credentials.

Columns of e-bikes, scooters and motorbikes have also been seen parked outside migrant hotels in London, Bournemouth and more - emblazoned with delivery firm logos.

Last February, Deliveroo finally confirmed to MPs it sacked 105 workers who illegally "sub-let" their accounts to undocumented riders.

That came nearly a year after the three firms agreed to close the loophole which let riders give jobs to "substitutes".

Thanks to years of GB News reporting, the trio would go on to pledge to introduce additional checks on "account sharing" after talks with the Home Office.

A Deliveroo spokesman said: "Illegal working should absolutely be addressed, and that's why we've led the industry in cracking down on the sophisticated, organised criminals who attempt to abuse our platform.'

"We run Right to Work checks on all riders, conduct multiple daily identity checks and use cutting-edge fraud-detection technology, and we'd encourage other industries affected by illegal working to do the same."

A Home Office spokesman said: "We are already closing the loopholes that allow illegal migrants to work in the UK by extending right to work checks to the gig economy and delivery sector.

"Employers who break the law face severe consequences, including fines of up to £60,000 per illegal worker, business closures, licence revocations and prison sentences of up to five years."

A source in the department told the BBC, meanwhile, that Reform's announcement amounted to "just empty posturing" and claimed the Government "is already doing much of this".
