Real Madrid manager responds after Kylian Mbappe drops Jose Mourinho hint

Real Madrid boss Alvaro Arbeloa insists that he isn't fazed after Kylian Mbappe liked an Instagram post which appeared to endorse Jose Mourinho's potential return. Arbeloa, 43, has been in charge since January but it's unknown if the Spanish giants will stick with him next season or whether he'll return to his role in their academy. Speculation that Real are planning to replace him has ramped up in recent days , having crashed out of the Champions League to Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals. Thirteen years after leaving the Bernabeu, Mourinho is increasingly being linked with a sensational return. Although he's under contract with Benfica until June 2027, the former Chelsea , Manchester United and Tottenham manager recently cast doubt over his future in Lisbon. Mbappe added fuel to the fire by liking an Instagram post suggesting that Mourinho should be a contender for the job. It highlighted the 63-year-old's win record during his three-year spell in Madrid and his impact on Cristiano Ronaldo . Asked about Mbappe's social media activity, Arbeloa brushed it off. "It doesn't bother me if he gives a like to Mourinho, Julia Roberts or anyone else. It has no importance." Madrid have six games left to play in La Liga and trail arch rivals Barcelona by nine points. A win on Friday away to Real Betis would put the pressure on Barca to restore their healthy lead when they visit Getafe on Saturday.
