Rail chaos as radio fault sparks mass cancellations and severe delays across train network

Trains across the south east of England have been disrupted by a radio fault causing mass cancellations and severe delays for travellers today.

Several train companies are affected by the outage including CrossCountry, Gatwick Express, Great Western Railway, London Overground, Southern, South Western Railway, and Thameslink.

National Rail has described a fault with the system between the driver and the signaller, with passengers warned of major disruption and delays of up to 90-minutes.
