Queen Camilla reunites with ex-husband Andrew Parker Bowles at equestrian event

Queen Camilla made an appearance at the Badminton Horse Trials in Gloucestershire on Friday, where she encountered her former husband Andrew Parker Bowles during a reception.

The monarch, who serves as president of the Ebony Horse Club, was at the prestigious equestrian event to celebrate the Brixton-based charity's 30th anniversary.

Her Majesty spent time with volunteers and young people from the organisation's south London riding school, which offers lessons, workshops and support programmes for disadvantaged youngsters.

The Queen and Mr Parker Bowles married in 1973 and share two children, Tom and Laura.

Last month, he represented Princess Anne at a Thanksgiving service for Ian Balding, Queen Elizabeth’s former racehorse trainer.

Earlier today, speaking with broadcaster Clare Balding at the event, the Queen expressed her deep connection to the Ebony Horse Club.

"I was so moved when I first discovered the club quite a few years ago," Her Majesty said.

The charity provides riding tuition and youth support services for young people from challenging backgrounds in the capital.

Camilla shook up the traditional playbook by pairing a black trouser suit with a navy blue Chanel vanity bag that features a quilted pattern and top handle.

Her Majesty watched on as a quartet of young riders performed a musical routine set to London Calling by The Clash in the event arena.

Following the display, Camilla awarded rosettes to the four performers and their ponies, marking a memorable moment for the young equestrians.

Prior to the arena performance, a teenager from the club demonstrated a horse simulator for the Queen, who was subsequently invited to take the controls herself.

The day also provided an opportunity for Her Majesty to converse with Lucinda Green, the legendary equestrian who has claimed victory at Badminton on six occasions.

The prestigious Gloucestershire event, held annually in the Cotswolds, remains one of the most celebrated fixtures in the British equestrian calendar.
