The three-day Peshawar Inter-Club Weightlifting Championship concluded at Qayyum Sports Complex on Friday, with Qayyum Sports Complex Weightlifting Club emerging as overall champions after a strong performance across all categories. The event, organized by the Regional Sports Office Peshawar at the Peshawar Sports Complex, saw more than 40 weightlifters from six clubs of the Peshawar region compete over three days. At the closing ceremony, Secretary General of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Olympic Association, Zulfiqar Ali Butt, and Regional Sports Officer Kashif Farhan served as chief guests and distributed medals and prizes among the successful athletes. They were accompanied by President of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Weightlifting Association, Sheraz Muhammad, and Amjad Khan. Results of the championship are as follows: In the 55kg category, Azan won gold, Ankit took silver, and Muaz claimed bronze. In the 65kg category, Aqib secured first position, Zubeir finished second, and Osman took third. In the 73kg category, Moez won gold, Wajahat silver, and Sami bronze. In the 81kg category, Taha stood first, while Samad and Abu Bakr took second and third positions respectively. In the 89kg category, Zubeir clinched gold, Rahim silver, and Yusuf bronze. In the 89kg+ category, Farhan secured first place, Walid second, and Musa third.
