Police offer £20,000 reward to find man over 'murder' of film student Finbar Sullivan who was surrounded and stabbed to death on Primrose Hill

By MATT STRUDWICK, SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 09:49, 4 August 2026 | Updated: 09:49, 4 August 2026 Police are offering a £20,000 reward to help 'urgently' find a man wanted over the alleged murder of film student Finbar Sullivan.  The Metropolitan Police have appealed directly to 22-year-old suspect Jordan Asije, urging him to 'do the right thing' and hand himself in, four months after Mr Sullivan was killed.  The 21-year-old victim was allegedly kicked, punched and fatally stabbed by a group of men during a violent brawl at Primrose Hill, in north London, at 6.40pm on April 7. Three men have already appeared in court charged with murder, but police have now put up a cash reward to help find Asije.  Detective Inspector Andy Griffin said: 'I also want to make it clear that anyone knowingly assisting Jordan to evade arrest, or harbouring him, may be committing a criminal offence and can expect to be investigated and dealt with robustly.'  He added that 'no piece of information is too small and what may appear insignificant to you, could prove vital to our enquiries'.  Ernest Boateng and Alexis Bidace, both 25, and Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27, appeared in court to deny murdering the London Screen Academy student.  The three men also entered not guilty pleas to charges of manslaughter and violent disorder. Khalid Abdulqadir, 18, of Fellows Road, Camden, also appeared in court to deny charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, violent disorder and possession of a knife in relation to the incident. The court previously heard Mr Sullivan had entered the park at 6.25pm and joined friends before he allegedly became surrounded by a group of attackers. It is alleged Boateng kicked the film student, taking out his legs and causing him to fall to the ground before he was stabbed. Bidace is alleged to have punched and kicked Mr Sullivan alongside Ogunyankinnu. Another unnamed male, armed with a knife, is alleged to have stabbed Mr Sullivan in the thigh, causing an 'unsurvivable' injury. The student was killed in full view of the public, with many recording the fatal brawl on their phones. He was pronounced dead at the scene despite the frantic efforts of paramedics. The 21-year-old, who studied at the London Screen Academy, followed his family into the arts, primarily producing music videos for drill rap artists under the name Sully Shot It An eight-week trial is scheduled to begin on April 5 next year.  DI Griffin said: 'My thoughts remain with Finbar’s family following their truly devastating loss. We have made significant progress in understanding the events that led to his tragic death and our enquiries continue.' Mr Sullivan's father Christopher Sullivan, a musician and founder of the 1980s band Blue Rondo à la Turk, said he was 'broken-hearted' by his son's death. He previously told the Daily Mail: 'He was the most beautiful, lovely, outgoing, loving boy. He was just a really lovely person.' Finbar, known as Finn to his friends, had been living with his father in a £1million flat in Maida Vale when he died. Mr Sullivan described his son as a 'middle-class kid with long hair'. 'This is the worst tragedy I could ever imagine,' he said. 'He's my only son… I had him when I was 45. He can never be replaced.' Mr Sullivan's grandfather Michael Seresin is a celebrated cinematographer who worked on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. He also worked on the film adaptation of Angela's Ashes and in 1987s Angel Heart which featured Robert De Niro and Mickey Rourke.
