Pitbull breaks Guinness World Record as over 22,141 concert-goers wear bald caps at BST concert as he rejoices: 'We did it baldies!'

By LILY JOBSON, SHOWBUSINESS REPORTER Published: 23:41, 10 July 2026 | Updated: 23:59, 10 July 2026 Pitbull has officially broken the Guinness World Record for orchestrating the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps at his BST concert. 22,141 fans wore the iconic headwear and aviator sunglasses to his headline performance on Friday night.  The artist, 45, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez, couldn't believe the phenomenon as he thanked his 'baldies' for making it happen. BBC Radio 1's Greg James announced the achievement while also wearing a bald cap.  Pitbull said: 'Wow, we did it baldies! Tell you what, I'm speechless at this point.  'But I can tell you this much, I say it to the baldies all the time at the shows, "When you put on them bald caps, you know you're about to have the time of your life!"  'And now you're officially in the Guinness Book of World Records. Dale! Tell you what, I'm speechless at this point', before trying on his very own bald cap Singing icon Kesha put on an eye-popping display as she took to the stage prior to Pitbull's performance For the record to break, fans were forced to follow very strict rules.  The first of which was wear the cap securely with hair having to be tucked under the front and top. They also had to stand in a specific area and keep the cap on for a full minute. Despite Pitbull's achievement, this particular Guinness World Record was a first so there were no prior benchmarks to beat.  Pitbull's biggest hits include Don't Stop the Party, Fireball, Timber and Gasolina. He has sold over 25 million studio albums and over 100 million singles worldwide. He was also ranked by Billboard as the 45th Top Artist of the 2010s and the 24th Top Latin Artist of the 2010s. Singing icon Kesha put on an eye-popping display as she took to the stage prior to Pitbull's performance.  Lewis Capaldi is set to perform two nights in a row on Saturday and Sunday at Hyde Park, bringing the annual festival to a close.
