By CAMERON ROY, DATA JOURNALIST Published: 18:19, 27 June 2026 | Updated: 18:19, 27 June 2026 A Rolex-robbing gang member on the run from police has taunted officers by posting a topless picture of himself because he didn't think his mugshot did him justice. Nathan Muir, 32, brazenly posted the image, which has flattering lighting that shows off his muscles, on Greater Manchester Police's wanted appeal for him on Facebook. Alongside the image, the career criminal cheekily wrote the comment 'Could have done a better pic', with the raised eyebrow emoji.  The blatant disregard for the police's authority seems to have gone down well in the comment section, with 326 people reacting to Muir's post with a laughing emoji. Others replied to call him a 'legend', or that they were laughing so hard they were 'screaming' or 'dead'. Another member of the public posted an AI-generated image of Muir standing outside the police station, holding a print in his hand and wearing a wide grin. Muir is wanted on recall to prison by the Wythenshawe division of GMP and is believed to have links to the Wythenshawe, Hale and Altrincham areas. In March 2023 he was jailed for five-and-a-half years after he admitted supplying class A and B drugs, burglary, conspiracy to steal, handling a stolen Audi and driving while disqualified. Nathan Muir, 32, brazenly posted the image, which features flattering lighting that shows off his muscles, on Greater Manchester Police's wanted appeal for him on Facebook  The mughsot image of Muir posted by Greater Manchester Police as part of their wanted appeal for him on Facebook Alongside the image, the career criminal cheekily wrote the comment 'Could have done a better pic', with the raised eyebrow emoji One member of the public posted an AI-generated image of Muir standing outside the police station, holding a print in his hand and wearing a wide grin An image on Muir's Facebook profile showed him in the car with three associates At the time of his sentencing, Muir had already picked up 36 previous convictions, including for robbery. Muir was a member of a gang that carried out multiple robberies by stealing high-end watches from wealthy diners in the Manchester area. The men would eye up customers as they left restaurants in upmarket Hale in Greater Manchester. Muir was also observed by undercover cops driving through affluent areas of south Manchester and Cheshire looking to steal valuables from cars.  When he was arrested, police found 'lock picks' used to break into vehicles along with £4,500 in cash on him.  Muir ended up in even more trouble because when investigators analysed his mobile phone, they found incriminating messages which revealed he had been dealing in class A and B drugs, cocaine and cannabis.  At his sentencing, his lawyer claimed Muir had been diagnosed with ADHD and suffered from depression.  GMP Wythenshawe are appealing for anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact 101 or 0161 856 1748.  No comments have so far been submitted.
