Napoli have officially announced their signing of 22-year-old full-back Costantino Favasuli on a permanent transfer from Serie B club Catanzaro.
Official: Napoli sign Favasuli from Catanzaro
Massimiliano Allegri is making moves to strengthen his back line following injuries to Alessandro Buongiorno, Luca Marianucci and Sam Beukema: full-back Favasuli has arrived at a cost of €7.5m from Catanzaro, while Chelsea centre-back Benoit Badiashile is in Italy ahead of his transfer to the Stadio Maradona.

As is typical with Napoli transfers, club President Aurelio De Laurentiis was the first to officially confirm the news with a tweet on social media that read: “Welcome, Costantino!”
Favasuli is a product of the Fiorentina academy, but left the Viola to join Catanzaro on a permanent transfer last summer.
Favasuli has spent the last three seasons in Serie B, but has recently earned his first Italy national team caps as part of the young squad that took on Luxembourg and Greece under the interim reign of Silvio Baldini, who has since returned to his regular position with the Italy U21s.
