I've been here eight years and I would love to finish my career here."McLean's last contract was signed in September 2023 and was due to expire this summer. However, in March, McLean revealed to BBC Radio Norfolk's The Scrimmage podcast that the one-year option to extend it into next season had already been taken up by the club during the 2024-25 campaign. Now, Norwich have offered the club's current player of the season fresh terms, which he has accepted ahead of this summer's World Cup.He said: "I've got a year left; the club didn't have to do what they're doing but the manager puts a lot of trust in me and I want to repay him with performances and helping the team."Every single day, I try and do as much as I can to improve people round about me [and] improve myself, which I'm still doing at 34. "I see success at this football club, with the manager in charge and the foundations that we're laying now, and I want to be part of it."Norwich finished ninth in the Championship following a 1-1 draw with Swansea City on the final day of the season, when McLean scored their goal - his third in 45 games during the campaign.Related topicsScotland Men's Football TeamNorwich CityChampionshipFootballMore on this storyLatest Norwich City news and analysisListen to BBC Radio Norfolk's The Scrimm...
