The landmark legislation is named in memory of Manchester Arena victim Martyn Hett, 29, who was one of 22 killed by a suicide bomber after an Ariana Grande concert.‌Martyn’s Law will require venues with a capacity of more than 200 to have plans in place to prevent terror attacks. Some venues, including Manchester Arena, now known as the AO Arena, have already implemented safety measures, such as a screening system that forensically scans crowds for terror threats.London’s Madame Tussauds and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, plus Manchester’s Lowry Theatre and Bridgwater Hall, have also invested in anti-terror technology.
