By MATT JONES, SENIOR NEWS REPORTER, AUSTRALIA Published: 01:38, 1 July 2026 | Updated: 01:57, 1 July 2026 The family and friends of a Western Australian man missing in Mexico have appealed for help to find him after almost a month without contact. Perth man Jesse Bruzzese, 35, last spoke to loved ones on June 3 while travelling in the Riviera Maya region near Cancun. Interpol has since issued a yellow notice, an international alert used to track down missing or abducted people.  The organisation said he was likely to have visited Cambodia, Mexico, the United States, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Indonesia. Mr Bruzzese has been travelling alone for the past nine months and arrived in Mexico in May. 'Our family has not heard from Jesse and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare,' his family said on social media. 'He has been travelling overseas, and we have been unable to confirm where he is or whether he is okay for three weeks. 'Jesse, if you happen to see this, please know that we love you so much and we are worried about you.' Jesse Bruzzese (pictured) hasn't contacted family or friends since June 3 Mr Bruzzese's last known location was Mexico's Riviera Maya region near Cancun  The 35-year-old from Perth has been described as an experienced traveller who rarely goes long without contacting family back home The family said they reported Mr Bruzzese missing to WA Police and the matter is being handled by the Missing Persons Unit.  'We are growing more worried as each day goes by,' they said. 'We aren't looking to pressure you [Jesse] or invade your privacy. We simply want to know that you're okay. Please reach out to someone and let them know you're safe.' Mr Bruzzese has several distinctive tattoos, including a woman's face on his inner left arm and a person with wings on his upper left arm.  He also has Roman numerals, hands with a clock face and roses on his left shoulder as well as eagle wings stretched across his left chest.  He is 176cm tall, with brown hair and eyes. Several Australians have gone missing in Mexico in recent years.  In April 2024, Perth locals Callum and Jake Robinson were on a surfing trip in the Mexican state of Baja California when they were reported missing. Mr Bruzzese has a tattoo of a woman's face on his inner left arm Their bodies were found a few days later, on May 3, at the bottom of a well after they were shot during a robbery. Another tattoo features Roman numerals, hands with a clock face and roses  In 2022, Queensland woman Tahnee Shanks went missing in Cancun.  Ms Shanks' two-year-old daughter was found on the street by authorities, but she has never been located. Anyone with information on Mr Bruzzese is asked to contact WA Police or Crime Stoppers. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is providing consular assistance to the family.  The Daily Mail has contacted Mr Bruzzese's family, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Interpol for comment.  No comments have so far been submitted.
