Incredibly, Christina Marie Plante, who was just 13 when she vanished in Arizona 32 years ago, was found alive in recent days.‌Christina is now 44 and while the update was shocking, there is another cold case that was even more dramatic. In fact, last month was the 10-year anniversary from when Lula Ann Gillespie-Miller was found alive — after being missing for an astonishing 42 years. Her family presumed she was dead. Back in 1974, Lula, who was then 28 and living in Laurel, Indiana, had just given birth to another child.‌However, while this would be a cherished time for many families, for Lula, she was feeling mentally overwhelmed. Indiana State Police said in a statement that she “felt she was too young to be a mother at the time and signed her children over to her parents”.‌And according to a report in the Washington Post, Lula was struggling with the death of her husband, who lost his life in a car accident in 1969. One of her daughters later claimed her mother had been allegedly raped by up to four men in 1973 who reportedly left her to die after throwing her over a bridge.
