(CNN)-- ذكر مصدر مسؤول إقليمي مُطّلع على الموقف السعودي، لشبكة CNN، الثلاثاء، أن المملكة تريد إنهاء حرب إيران بإضعاف قدرات طهران الصاروخية الباليستية وصواريخ كروز "قدر الإمكان".

وأضاف المصدر أن الرياض لا تريد إلحاق الضرر بالبنية التحتية المدنية الإيرانية.

وتابع قائلا: "لا يمكننا أن يكون لدينا جار عدواني، وفي الوقت نفسه لا يمكننا أن يكون لدينا شعب في إيران يعاني من الفقر المدقع. في نهاية المطاف، نحن جيران ونريد جوارًا يسوده السلام".
