استقبل وزير الإعلام المحامي د.بول مرقص، في مكتبه في الوزارة، المنسقة الخاصة للأمم المتحدة جينين هينيس بلاسخارت (Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert) حيث عرض معها موضوع استهداف الإعلام والصحافيين والعاملين في المجال الصحي والطواقم الإسعافية، وسلمها لائحة توثق الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية التي استهدفتهم مما أدى لاستشهاد عدد منهم واصابة آخرين، معتبراً أن ذلك "يشكل انتهاكاً صارخاً لأبسط قواعد القانون الدولي الإنساني"، مناشداً المجتمع الدولي" السهر على حمايتهم".
