Agadir – Morocco’s airport sector recorded 8,913,041 passengers by the end of March, marking an 11.15% increase compared to the same period last year, according to figures released by the National Airports Office (ONDA).

The performance reflects sustained growth in both international and national traffic, with international travel remaining the main driver of activity across the national network.

The country’s main hub, Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport, handled 2,730,209 passengers, representing more than 30% of total air traffic and registering a 15.92% year-on-year increase.

Other airports also posted strong performances, including Beni Mellal increased by 31.35%, Errachidia by 20.81%, Nador El Aroui by 13.83%, Rabat-Sale by 13.51%, Tangier Ibn Batouta by 11.86%, Marrakech-Menara by 11.68%, and Agadir Al Massira Airport by 10.76%.

International traffic reached 8,022,866 passengers, up 10.91%, while national traffic stood at 890,175 passengers, an increase of 13.34%, ONDA figures showed.

Europe continued to dominate Morocco’s international air traffic, accounting for more than 80% of total flows, with a 9.82% rise.

Other regions also recorded notable growth, including Africa at 20.96%, North America at 25.9%, the Maghreb at 14.12%, the Middle East and Far East at 9.45%, and South America at 37.69%.

In terms of operations, Moroccan airports recorded 67,263 aircraft movements (takeoffs and landings), up 11.24% compared to the end of March 2025.

ONDA data reported a growth in air freight, which increased by 13.33% to reach 29,846 tons, compared to 26,335 tons a year earlier, highlighting the continued expansion of Morocco’s aviation and logistics sectors.
