Morocco Futsal Team Concludes Training Ahead of Libya Clash
Rabat – The Moroccan national futsal team has finished its final preparations for Tuesday’s match against Libya in Berkane International Friendly Tournament.
The game will take place on Tuesday at the Prince Moulay El Hassan Indoor Hall in Berkane at 6:00 PM (GMT+1), as part of the second and final round of the Berkane International Tournament.
During Monday’s training session, national coach Hicham Dguig focused on the team’s final technical and tactical details to prepare for the upcoming game.
The tournament serves as a key warm-up for the 2026 CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which Morocco will host in October. Along with the host nation and Cape Verde, Libya is also competing in the event.
The tournament follows a round-robin format, allowing the players to experience different playing styles and tactics, which helps them prepare for the upcoming African championship.
Morocco has enjoyed a dominant run so far in the tournament, kicking off on a very strong footing by defeating Cape Verde 7-1. Libya meanwhile lost to the same opponent with a score of 4-2 after extra time, following a 2-2 draw at the end of regulation.
The competition gives Morocco a great chance to sharpen the team’s skills and gain confidence before hosting the major continental championship.
