MNTO Hosts US Tourism Leaders, Boosting Confidence in Morocco as a Key Destination
Agadir- Morocco is reinforcing its position on the global tourism map as it hosts the 2026 edition of the USTOA Out of Country Meeting, running from March 19 to 29 in partnership with the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT).
Morocco is hosting this event for the first time, bringing together leading figures from the North American travel industry.
The United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA), a key player in shaping travel trends and directing tourist flows in North America, represents some of the most influential companies in the sector.
The event welcomed a delegation of around 50 participants, including USTOA board members, tour operator executives, and product development specialists to explore key destinations across the country.
The tour includes visits to many Moroccan cities including Casablanca, Rabat, Fez, Tangier, Chefchaouen and Marrakech, exploring Morocco’s diverse tourism offerings.
On March 25, Rabat welcomed the USTOA board meeting, providing a direct platform for interaction between American and Moroccan tourism professionals, focusing on the ONMT strategy for the American market and business opportunities in the short and medium term.
The ONMT aims to further strengthen its partnership with USTOA members through this initiative and to promote Morocco as a premium destination in North American travel programs.
The tourism office calls the meeting a “strategic event that reinforces the confidence of the North American market in the Kingdom’s stability and attractiveness.”
The broader objective is to enhance Morocco’s visibility in tour operator catalogues and drive increased visitor numbers between 2026 and 2030.
This start of the event coincided with Morocco’s participation in the International Hospitality Investment Forum (IHIF) held in Berlin from March 23 to 25, in which the Moroccan Society of Tourism Engineering led a delegation of national investors to promote opportunities in the country’s hospitality sector.
The tourism delegation marketed the country’s competitiveness inside the global market particularly in hotel investment.
Through hosting and participating in such initiatives, Morocco is leveraging international platforms to boost visibility and attract foreign investment, while capitalizing on national efforts amid preparations for global upcoming events such as the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
