Elizabeth Waddell, a 43-year-old woman from North Carolina, went missing in Grenada on July 22 during a girls' trip.

Her husband reported that she was last seen by jet skiers who attempted to convince her to leave the ocean, but she insisted she was a good swimmer.

Despite extensive search efforts, including drones and dive teams, police are still treating her case as a missing persons investigation.

A North Carolina woman who went missing while on a girls' trip to the Caribbean may have drowned, her husband says.

Elizabeth "Liz" Waddell, 43, went missing from Grenada on July 22 and new details shared by her husband suggest she was last seen in the water – by a group of jet skiers.

In an update posted to FindLiz.com, Liz’s husband, Cailen Waddell, said the jet skiers tried for several minutes to convince her to get on a jet ski rather than remain in the ocean.

Police are still treating her disappearance as a missing persons case. Her husband is still holding on to hope.

"If Liz walked out of the jungle tomorrow and said, 'Hey, where’s my passport?' I’d not be surprised and obviously get on a plane and go get her in a heartbeat," he said.
