Türkiye'ye bu organizasyondaki ilk madalyasını kazandırdı. Türkiye Cimnasitk Federasyonunun açıklamasına göre Hatice Gökçe Emir, Portimao kentindeki turnuvada çember aletinde 28.350 puanla gümüş madalya elde etti. Hatice Gökçe'nin bu başarısı, Türkiye'nin ritmik cimnastik tarihindeki ilk Dünya Challenge Kupası madalyası olarak kayıtlara geçti. Açıklamada görüşlerine yer verilen Türkiye Cimnastik Federasyonu Başkanı Suat Çelen, milli sporcu ve antrenörlerini kutlayarak, şu ifadeleri kullandı: "Milli sporcumuz Hatice Gökçe Emir, Dünya Challenge Kupası'nda çember aletinde kazandığı gümüş madalyayla bizlere büyük bir gurur yaşattı. Ritmik cimnastik tarihimiz adına bir ilki gerçekleştirerek Dünya Challenge Kupası seviyesinde ilk madalyayı kazanması, Türk cimnastiğinin gelişiminin en somut göstergelerinden biridir. Ritmik cimnastik adına büyük bir eşik atlandı. Artık sporcularımızın Avrupa, dünya ve olimpiyatlarda madalya alabileceğinin bir göstergesi oldu. Bu tarihi başarının, gelecekteki daha büyük başarıların habercisi olduğuna inanıyorum."
