Bölge Müdürlüğü İstanbul Bölge Tahmin ve Erken Uyarı Merkezi'nden yapılan açıklamada, son değerlendirmelere göre, Marmara Bölgesi'nin çarşamba günü öğle saatlerinden itibaren kuzeyden gelen soğuk havanın etkisi altına girmesinin beklendiği belirtildi. Açıklamada, şu ifadelere yer verildi: "Buna bağlı olarak, perşembe günü gece saatlerinden itibaren bölgemizin doğu kesimlerinde (Kocaeli'nin yüksek kesimleri, Sakarya'nın güney ve doğusu ile yüksek kesimleri başta olmak üzere) orta kuvvette zirai don riski bulunmaktadır. Cumartesi gününe kadar devam etmesi beklenen zirai don tehlikesine karşı başta üretici ve çiftçiler olmak üzere ilgililerin ve vatandaşların dikkatli ve tedbirli olmaları gerekmektedir."
